AI-driven bandwidth growth and increasing demand for lower-latency connectivity are accelerating interest in the next generation of fibre technologies. As network operators and fibre owners look to support new capacity and performance requirements, hollow-core and multicore fibres are moving increasingly into focus.

This growing significance of next generation fibres is closely aligned with Fibre Council Europe's expanding focus on data centres and data centre interconnection. Together with CRU, the Council has explored these fibre developments in its latest white paper, the findings of which will be presented in this webinar.

The session will be chaired by Jon Baldry, Senior Director Solutions Marketing at Nokia, with Tom Simon Boswell, Head of Application Engineering - Europe at STL; Bojan Klasan, Head of Data Centers and ICT Delivery at A1 Croatia; Ahmed Ali, Lead, Optical Fibre & Cable Service at CRU Group; and Ian Cowser, Program Manager FTTx UK at Corning, sharing their perspectives.

What you will take away:

  • The outlook for hollow-core and multicore fibre

  • Practical and operational considerations for deployment

  • Network operator plans, applications and emerging use cases

  • Key findings from the latest white paper
