In close collaboration with our regional sales organisations you will be responsible for the global business strategy of the FO MCI Industry market segment where we have currently a focus on customers and applications in Energy, Power Distribution and Mining.
You will monitor technology and market trends in our Industry domains and present market requirement roadmaps which will influence our investments in technology, development skills, manufacturing and supply capabilities on a mid- and long-term perspective.
You will develop related business plans and strategies for the Industry market segment, which includes related go-to-market, portfolio and organisational development plans in alignment with our regional sales directors and their teams.
You will identify trends and future market requirements, develop appropriate strategies, and business plans to position our products and solutions. On this basis, you and the business units with their product managers will develop and maintain their product roadmaps.
You will share your market and technology expertise with our customers, regional sales partners and the H+S Group companies during on-site visits, workshops, events and trade fairs.
Working closely together with our global sales organisation, you will drive new market initiatives, identify local market players and build long-term and sustainable relationships with existing and new business partners.
You will strengthen our market requirement know-how in industrial data communication, measurement and testing, first in our Market Management team at FO MCI and subsequently transfer this into our subsidiaries and partner networks.
We are looking for a self-motivated, visionary individual with entrepreneurial spirit.
You have an engineering degree (electrical, mechanical) and several years of professional experience in a similar role as in sales, marketing or business development.
You will contribute with expertise in fiber optical components and solutions in an industrial data communication context. Customer and market experience in fields like power transmission and distribution, high-voltage applications, substation management, wind energy or mining would be an advantage.
As an open minded, communicative person, you take the initiative and drive your agenda while acting responsibly and team oriented. You recognize opportunities and develop new accounts effectively.
You like dealing with a wide range of discussion partners and cultural environments. Your strong ability to negotiate and dialogue with internal and external customers comes together with persuasive presentation, management as well as organizational skills – proven in a multi-national matrix organization.
You are used to an international company environment, so you communicate and correspond fluently in English. Any other foreign language will be a benefit. As the position is really of global scope within the FO MCI division, your readiness to travel abroad should be in the range of 30 - 50% of your working time.
